*Avoid afternoon watering to prevent loss of water through evaporation, and avoid watering in the evening to reduce fungal disease incidence.
# X2 `% E$ z$ F*Sandy soils may require more frequent watering. Apply about 3/4"(2cm) of water once every 4-5 days.
*Increase watering frequency during hot, dry weather conditions.
*Don't over-water. Allow the top 1"(2.5cm) of the soil surface to dry out between waterings.
