An eight-year-old boy remains in a Toronto hospital with serious injuries following a two-vehicle collision involving a Peel Regional Police cruiser last night in Erin Mills.. b: z. ^- I0 U6 z# F$ U$ ]8 w
Police are looking for witnesses to the serious collision, which sent three people, including the police officer driving the cruiser, to hospital. The vehicles collided just after 9 last night at the intersection of Erin Mills Pkwy. and Sheridan Park Dr.* H6 \/ ^7 D2 X/ {4 ~
The officer was taken to local hospital after sustaining minor injuries; he was released. The driver of the Mazda that came into collision with the cruiser, was also treated and released. Her son was initially taken to local hospital and transported to Toronto hospital later.. f) h2 V7 h, k6 |4 c9 `+ G+ l, g
Mississauga firefighters used the Jaws of Life to extract the occupants of the Mazda.! ? ~% @; z8 }
The roads in the area were closed for several hours while the Major Collision Bureau investigated.
